History Competition Information

To celebrate 50 years of PCAV, a landmark reached in 2005, the Executive and State Council have set aside a small budget to compile a History of Our PCAV.

The real story of Pony Club is out there in all the clubs, and is written in the memory of great characters who have coloured the life of many a club. We would like to draw on the memories and resources of all Pony Club members, old and new, to put together a vivid collection of stories and pictures of your Pony Clubs.

Do you know a former Member who is now a high-profile, public person? The PCAV would love to have their memories of their Pony Club days. Such people can help to create general interest, and possibly some small media coverage for the project, helping it to reach more people.

Since embarking on this project, I have been amazed at how many people have come forward with previously hidden or forgotten photos, movies, or boxes of documents. These materials are the stuff that archives are made of, and we encourage you to dust them off, sort them, and submit them for a prize, and for a chance to be published.
